| January | January was a bit of a lean month, not seeing Tony at all, but looking forward to the tour with Martin Fry. |
| February | February 1st the tour with Martin Fry started in Oxford, the first of 64 dates, of which I went to 17. I see Tony in Oxford, Weston-Super-Mare (2nd show), Bournemouth, Bath (both shows) and Wolverhampton (both shows). If you see the Singer's Bum DVD and think that Tony going to the pub mid show is a set up, it isn't - I saw Tony, John and Richie in Weston-Super-Mare doing exactly this. |
| March | The tour continues and I see Tony in Portsmouth, Chatham and Torquay. Torquay is my local gig. |
| April | More Tour and I see Tony in High Wycombe, Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham, Grimsby, Cardiff and Salisbury. The Royal Albert Hall is a great venue and I can see why Tony wanted to play there. The acoustics at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham are superb, but the best night for me on the tour was when I went to Grimsby on my birthday, Tony made it really special and announced my birthday whilst he was singing 'Gold'. |
| May | Last date on the tour in Southampton, there were some really hilarious antics going on during this show, we wanted to party and the stewards made us sit down during the first half. Jazz Café gig was next, I should never have gone to this one as I was flying out to Ireland the next day, but it was a great show in an intimate setting. Blossom Hill Catwalks in Ireland were next, sleeping under the same roof as Tony in both Dublin and Wexford (ok - this means I stayed in the same hotel as him!). The shows were good too and the Irish girls appreciated him as well. |
| June | Party at Pencarrow in Bodmin, Cornwall - it was a bit early in the year for an outdoor concert and so cold, but great show, and the only time I have seen Tony without him being hot and sweaty. I was lucky enough to go to the pilot of a Television Show, it was interesting to see how TV shows are made and it was good to hear Tony singing. June ended with the brilliant Legends in Concert show at Weymouth Football Club with Tony appearing with Go West and Martin Fry, and it didn't rain either. |
| July | Saffron Walden Carnival was an excellent show, but I should have never had driven there, so anybody who knows me, remind me that I don't drive as far as that if I start mentioning that I am going to drive to a gig more than four hours away. |
| August | Going to Bilzen in Belgium with Gema for a day trip was a good adventure, I'm sorry Tony for surprising you, you definitely weren't expecting any of your UK based fans to be there. Clumber Park was a great show, and doing this gig helped you know the answer on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire of where is Robin Hood Airport. |
| September | The last day of September is the first day of the Butlins Minehead Fan Weekend. |
| October | The Fan Weekend carries on into October. It is a brilliant weekend and it is great that Tony takes such a part in it, including the football, bowling, quiz and face to face session. I didn't really mean you to phone up your mum, when I asked what time you were born. The gigs were great and I especially enjoyed 'I Predict a Riot' and 'All The Small Things'. |
| November | Another lean month where I don't see Tony at all. |
| December | Dougie Brown's Benefit Ball starts the month, a different sort of event to go to, but very enjoyable. Seeing Tony either side of Christmas was great, Doncaster was a fab gig and Croydon too. |
Thanks Tony for making 2005 a memorable year, here's to 2006!
