| I was being sent to London for a
conference, as luck would have it, the conference was being held
less than half a mile from the Cambridge Theatre and I would be
staying overnight in London beforehand, so I decided to go and see
Chicago again. This time I went with a friend and we had 4th row seats, three and four in from the aisle on the right hand side, a good place to view all the action on stage. I felt there was a difference in Tony's performance, although his singing was excellent as usual, he wasn't nervous and was now in his comfort zone. I've never seen the stage version with anyone else playing Billy Flynn, so I can't compare how Tony dances to how anyone else portrayed this role and I think all people who have been given this role bring their own special talents to it and Tony's special talent is singing. He has also learnt the dialogue, is word perfect and brings his version of an American accent to it and keeps this accent all the way through. I really enjoyed the show, much more than the first time I saw it, I was much more relaxed, not worrying how Tony would do, because after seeing it the first time I knew it was well within his capabilities and I also managed to take these few photos here before being stopped.
