Fareham was my 10th gig on the tour and one of three in a week. I had been offered front row tickets and it would have been silly to have turned them down. Fareham is a nice civic theatre and the seats were quite nice.
The first half was the same songwise as usual, but Tony didn't say exactly the same thing and varied what he said. He also asked who had heard of Be Bop Deluxe, unfortunately there was a very poor response as he said 'You on the front row who have been before are not allowed to say you have'. I was a bit miffed by this as I had heard of them before Tony started singing their song. The first half went by far too quickly, but as usual was performed note perfect and accompanied by Tony's excellent band.
Time for the second half and Tony came on stage with a box of quality street which had been given to him by friends of mine, he also read their request. I thought that the selection of songs was good and I was glad that a couple that hadn't come out of the box at gigs I had been to, came out this time. Some of my favourites. We managed to stand for most of the second half and it was a great end of the show with 'I Predict A Riot'.
It was a good gig, one of the best on the tour. At the end of the gig it was time to head to the stage door, loads of people waiting though, but Tony spoke to everyone.
