Review of Tony Hadley in Belgium - 6th and 7th August 2005 by Lianne
Gent - Vrijadagsmarkt
I was really looking forward to seeing Tony tour in Belgium , I was really looking forward to seeing him again. My friend and I got the Eurostar from London Waterloo on Friday 5th August, it was a pleasant ride (listening to Tony on my Walkman helped) the journey lasted about 2 hours or so. When we arrived in Belgium it was raining, I was hoping it would clear up by the Saturday. Saturday came and it was quite sunny. The city of Gent was lovely full of very nice bars and restaurants. When evening came we got our usual place at the front, I took my video camera with me and videoed Tony's part of the gig. Half way through Tony's second song he stopped singing when he saw my friend and I at the front and pointed and spoke to us, I was so happy to have this on film, Tony was fabulous as usual, Phil Taylor was the only other band member with Tony, it was a shame that there were not many people knew who Tony was, there were a lot of young people who were there to see Kool And The Gang. We had are usual chat with Tony after the gig which was very nice.

Mechelen - Grote Markt
Mechelen is a much smaller place than Gent, but was also a lovely place, we got there about Lunch time, had some lunch and a few beers which was nice, again when Tony was due to come on stage we got to the front, again a lot of people were there for Kool And The Gang. Again Tony gave a great performance the set list was the same except he didn't do I'll Fly For You. I wanted to stay longer in Belgium , but couldn't because of work. I hope to see Tony again very soon, so for now I will just keep watching my video.
