The tour has done 10 gigs so far and this was number 11, the first of two nights at The Stables at Milton Keynes and my 7th on the tour, I decide only to do the first night.
The Stables is a nice venue on the outskirts of Milton Keynes but they have a strict no cameras policy, luckily I knew this beforehand and made some adjustments to the settings on my camera, unfortunately they make Tony look quite washed out and the only good photos I got were during the encore when lots of people took a few photos. I had a second row for this gig, useful as I could hide the camera and take pictures between the seats.
The first half started more or less on time and took the same format as the previous few gigs and had the same songs.
Second Half starts and it is 'By Request' time, I begin to think that it is Spandau night with two of them at the beginning of the night, but it didn't turn out that way. Tony keeps the 'By Request' slips in his inside top pocket of his jacket and after he had done You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling he looked at the slips and the next one didn't tally with the set list. The song on the slip was the 'The Way It Is' usually sung by Bruce Hornsby and it was Wendy's request being read out (we had been told by Phil Taylor that they wanted to sing this but nobody had requested it, so I should imagine that he found it and put it in the pile of requests).
I thought it was a good set of requests and eventually the audience got up and danced. The encore was True and I Predict a Riot. Another great show was over and instead of heading round to the stage door, we stayed in the foyer in the warm. Eventually we went round to the stage door and Tony was already out, he hadn't had a shower as he thought there were only a few people to see, but there were over 40 people to see him. Eventually he went back in and John Keeble came out, he was in a good mood and I was able to chat to him.
