I booked this date on the tour
almost as soon as the dates were announced, but when we got there I found that
the seats I had booked were not where I thought they should be, complained, but
as it turned out, the seats that I thought I had booked were free, so we sat
there.
Both Tony and Pete were on top form with lots of funny banter between the songs. It made the Bristol show seem very flat, but this was show number 40 and Bristol was number 5.
Managed to get both set lists this time - nice Roadie let me have them, he even explained that one of the other bits of paper there were song words (couldn't see what song Tony didn't know the words to!). The second half one even has Tony's footprint on it. Managed to get the gaffer tape that was sticking them onto the stage off without damaging them!
So the set was:

The Plymouth audience seemed content just to sit there politely, but Richard encouraged people to stand up and dance. Between We Close our Eyes and King of Wishful Thinking people started to sit down, but he told them they would have to have to stand up again for the next song.
Tony said 'Papers were interesting the other day - The Sun if you read it. Now I could lie to you and tell you that Pete and I are conjoined twins separated at birth with one mother, but that would be total b*****ks'. He then said that he had known Pete a long time and we would know them from Reborn in the USA and then took a pop at the silly s*ds who did I'm a Celebrity get me out of here who ate worms and locusts, and said that he and Pete just p*ssed it up all over America, drinking fine wine wherever they went.
No changes to the Why Don't You Try Me song, so I think that the striptease may be off at Hammersmith!
As usual, the show is over too fast for my liking, although the audience did get going eventually. This is not my favourite venue, it is used for the Basketball team the Plymouth Raiders and the large flat area at the front is not good. It was also not sold out but the amount of people there probably would have filled one of the other venues. The ceiling was very high and I don't think this helped the atmosphere. I enjoyed it anyway.
Time to head round the back to the stage door (this is unusual for me as the stage door in Truro and Barnstaple was at the front!). Everybody was kept behind a barrier across the road, so away from the Roadies packing up the equipment. Richard Drummie was first out, then Pete and finally Tony. There were only about 35 people waiting, but nobody I recognised from anywhere else, but there were two who seemed to know Pete, Richard and Tony very well and who are going to Hammersmith.
Tony remembered me again, but not my name (making the excuse that he is terrible with names). Didn't manage to talk to him about anything I had intended to.
