It was Wednesday and I was in Manchester. I'd actually flown up to Manchester the previous evening as my local regional airline do morning flights but they leave at stupid o'clock and get to Manchester before the shops are open. I did this once, but never again. So after finishing almost two days at work (I say almost because I had to leave early to get the flight!), the next two shows were on the cards.
After a good sleep in the hotel and a bit of shopping it was time to wait for my friends to arrive, it had started to get dark and neither had arrived. The first I knew was that my friend was lost in Manchester, driving round because there are diversions as much of the tram system is being renewed in the city centre. I've invested in mobile internet so could bring maps up but this didn't really help with the road works. Eventually within minutes of each other they both arrived. We got ready and walked the few minutes up the road from our hotel to the venue.
This time I had got us 4th row middle tickets, and very good they were although I can't help feeling that they could have been better if the woman at Ticketline hadn't made me checkout the tickets for each individual venue separately.
For me there weren't any surprises about the show as it was exactly the same as the rest I have seen although Tony's cold doesn't seem any better, he doesn't let it get in the way of a great show, full of energy and running about the stage. I liked the way he goes to either side of the stage and sings part of a song standing on top of the speakers on either side.
