Ever
since my Passing Strangers CD arrived, I haven't stopped playing it at home, in
my car or on my MP3 player, so by the time I got to the Milton Keynes show, the
lyrics were firmly etched on my memory. I always like to sing along at a
concert, so to know the lyrics is a necessity.
This was show four of fourteen and my second time of seeing this tour. The Stables, Milton Keynes is one of Tony's favourite venues and this was my third visit there. I actually had the same seat as my previous visit, but it was a good seat on the second row and much easier to take illicit photos from as there is a strict no camera rule at The Stables, although I did end up with lots of blurry photos which I haven't put on here as my camera could have really done with a tripod to take them without the flash.
The stage at the The Stables was much smaller than at Basingstoke and consequently the grand piano was a much smaller one, the double bass player and Phil Taylor were hidden at the back, but good view of the other musicians.
Tony was on top form, his singing was excellent, this type of song so suits his voice. He even took time to chat to the audience. Although it is a lot of songs, the just over two hours plus the interval really went really quickly. Tony came out into the foyer about 15 minutes after the show and signed CDs and spoke to people and posed for photographs.
