The By Request tour was an interesting concept. The first half of the set was Tony’s choice and between each song he chatted about why each song had been chosen.
Before the gig everyone was given a song menu with 61 songs on it and was asked to choose a song and say why they had chosen it. During the first half, requests were randomly chosen and put on the set list. Before each song, Tony read out who had requested it and their reason why. Every show on this tour had the potential to be a different set.
