Tony appeared in a sketch especially done for Sport Relief. Story: The Ryder Cup has been stolen and rumour has it a celebrity has nicked it! DCI Gene Hunt, DI Alex Drake and the Ashes to Ashes team lead an undercover investigation for Sport Relief. Faith and Music

Tony talked about his life, career with Spandau and life since and sang four songs. This programme was part of a religious broadcasting series.


Celebrity Stitch Up

Tony took the taxi journey from hell, with the taxi driver offering him chips and then dropping the chip wrapper as litter out of the car window, saying he was in Duran Duran and then singing Spandau songs to him. At the back of the taxi there was a hidden person who popped up half way through the journey. Tony was very cool about everything. It is possible that the producers thought he would get angry.


Car Cruzin’

Tony appeared with his Jaguar sports car and drove and talked about his car.


Who Wants to Be a Millionaire

Celebrity edition of the quiz programme hosted by Chris Tarrant. Tony and John Keeble won £64,000 for Shooting Star Children’s Hospice.

Celebrities Under Pressure

Series in which a celebrity has to complete a tough challenge in order to win prizes for a family in whose house they have spent a weekend. Tony’s challenge was Stock Car racing in Essex.

Reborn in the USA

Ten British pop acts were transported to the USA, where they were supposedly not known in the hope of revitalising their music career. Each week, the American audience voted for their favourite act. The two acts with the fewest votes would then face the vote from the British public, where the following week the act with the fewest votes was eliminated from the contest and sent back to Britain. Down to Earth (TV Series)

Tony sang the theme tune for the first two series. He also featured in one episode ‘Gone but not forgotten’ as Tom Marshall, a musician who has moved to the country.


Hunting Venus (TV Movie)

Storyline: Former pop-star turned con artist Simon Delancey is kidnapped by two fans of his eighties band the Venus Hunters, and blackmailed to re-form the band for one final show. Main characters are Martin Clunes, Neil Morrisey and Jane Horrocks. Tony, Phil Oakey, Jools Holland, Simon Le Bon and Gary Numan all appear as themselves. Watch on You Tube.

Normally, if you are outside the UK you can’t watch it live or on catch-up.  I have found this website which I have heard works in Europe

There are other ways of watching TV from other countries but this seems the easiest.  I am looking for a similar site to be able watch Italian TV.
